Hopsin &nbsp;on the other hand, merely <em-->panders to the hipster faggots &#8211; which in my opinion is far worse of a crime.<\/em--><\/p>\n<p>It appears to me that Hopsin&#8217;s verses are tailored to appeal to us white-kid hipsters of the 90&#8217;s, with lines like &#8220;Blow it before you&nbsp;put&nbsp;it in like a&nbsp;Nintendo&nbsp;cartridge&#8221; or the skin crawling-ly ugly reference to the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Konami_Code\">Konami code<\/a>. &nbsp;Desperation for success leaks out of every verse, and you&#8217;re forced to listen to what sound like old Eminem verses littered with pop culture&nbsp;references.<\/p>\n<p>Hopsin suffers chronically from what I like to call Jurassic 5&nbsp;Syndrome&nbsp;&#8211; he&#8217;s yet another rapper left shouting with no real message, no real cause, and nothing to say. &nbsp;Every track is about one of two things: 1) How &#8216;nice&#8217; he is. &nbsp;2) How he&#8217;s an underrated crazy rapper.<\/p>\n<p>Empty messages falling upon deaf ears.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never seen an MC try so hard in my life. &nbsp;Every track is a stream of overly calculated, inspiration free lyrics that fall flat. &nbsp;Yes, he can deliver them live, but when they&#8217;re this bland, is that really much of a compliment?<\/p>\n<p>To me, Hopsin will&nbsp;forever&nbsp;be a YouTube rapper. &nbsp;He has legions of fans, no of whom want to critically listen to his music, nor make any contribution to it. &nbsp;If YouTube views were&nbsp;contributory to talent, then Hopsin would be one of the best MCs the world has ever seen. &nbsp;Sadly, they are not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<![CDATA[]]>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[61,99,147],"class_list":["post-433","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews","tag-hopsin","tag-ofwgkta","tag-tyler"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/433","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=433"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/433\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2373,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/433\/revisions\/2373"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=433"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=433"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=433"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
