{"id":1340,"date":"2015-03-23T12:59:27","date_gmt":"2015-03-23T12:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bassdress.com\/blog\/?p=1340"},"modified":"2019-03-10T17:16:03","modified_gmt":"2019-03-10T17:16:03","slug":"hprizm-digital-aura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bassdress.com\/blog\/2015\/03\/23\/hprizm-digital-aura\/","title":{"rendered":"Hprizm &quot;Digital Aura&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just in case anyone has missed it, High Priest of the Anti-Pop Consortium AKA Hprizm has been, for the last few months, releasing <em-->fire on <a title=\"Hprizm\" href=\"https:\/\/hprizm.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bandcamp<\/a>.<\/em--><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s all instrumental, noodling beats and odd-looping samples &#8211; exactly what you&#8217;d expect from HP.<\/p>\n<p>The latest release &#8220;Ornate Coldtrain&#8221;, ALL CAPS, is a darker, sketchy piece. Bits and pieces approach and unusually constructed. Jumbled. All the tracks are snipped tight, none of them allowed to progress passed the four-minute mark. Shorter and beatier than anything else listed, it kills it with the old MPC magic (it&#8217;s probably fuckin&#8217; Ableton) and a sample selection unearthed from 1950.
